AILC’s work has evolved through years of experience in Kenya and Ghana. Today, our efforts in Kenya center on sustainable income, education, and temple assistance, while continuing the humanitarian service that has shaped our organization.
The Kenya Engine
The Kenya Engine is a five-acre sugarcane project designed to generate sustainable income within Kenya. Our vision is to help local communities build the financial means to support their own future projects, create opportunities, and reduce dependence on outside funding.
Education Through BYU–Pathway
Education opens doors to opportunity. AILC supports access to BYU–Pathway Worldwide education by helping students overcome barriers to online learning, including access to laptops.
Our goal is to help individuals gain knowledge, develop skills, and build brighter futures for themselves and their families.
Temple Assistance
For many Saints in Kenya, the desire to attend the temple is strong, but the financial and transportation challenges can be significant.
AILC helps make temple attendance possible by assisting with transportation and other essential needs, opening the door to sacred experiences that strengthen individuals and families.
Humanitarian Expeditions
For years, AILC has brought volunteers to Africa to serve alongside local communities. Our expeditions offer opportunities to support local initiatives, experience different cultures, and discover firsthand the power of meaningful service.
Each expedition is guided by the needs of the communities we serve, with a focus on lasting impact rather than temporary assistance.
Our Legacy in Kenya and Ghana
AILC's work has included building schools in Kenya, supporting small businesses, and developing vocational training opportunities.
In Ghana, our partnership with the MBA Mode Sewing Institute has helped individuals gain practical skills and opportunities to establish their own businesses.
These accomplishments continue to shape our commitment to sustainable empowerment.
