Past Expeditions

In May of 2007, our team went to Kenya in the outlying village of Naivasha. This is where we have secured 6 ½ acres of land and AILC is building an educational facility that will offer the realized hopes of an education for 1000 children. Within the same facility, we have a women’s resource center that provides women with the life skills necessary to support their families.
We have, also, just completed our dormitory of our boarding facility that holds 80 young women. These young girls come from various walks of life, whereby they find it a privilege to be receiving an education.

May 2008 found AILC’s team in Tanzania. Here we worked at a center for orphaned street children. Together we built a self sustainable chicken coop with 100 chickens. The funds received from selling the eggs will provide crucial resources for the wellbeing of the boys and girls who live there. Our efforts, also, found the team in several schools teaching HIV/AIDS, our medical team performed screening in a village for over 400 villagers, we taught co ops of women the skill of plastic market bags and we offered assistance in an orphanage for babies 2 days to 1 year old.
Come join us on our next expeditions planned in February 2011, and May 2011.
