  • Who can apply? If you would like to have a life changing experience and are ready to reach outside yourself, then you can apply!!!
  • How much does an expedition cost? Our typical expedition is 14-15 days and cost $3800. This includes airfare, in country transportation arrangements, lodging, food and all AILC side excursion trips. The only out of pocket expense would be buying your souvenirs.
  • What will I need to go? You will need a passport and immunizations for travel.
  • Where do your expeditions go? Our primary location is in Kenya where we have 6 ½ acres of land that we are building a school and boarding facility. We, also, have a women’s life skills training center on the school grounds. Our next team to Kenya will construct our educational facility, teach HIV-AIDS, set up micro loans, teach in the classroom, medical screening and to train co-ops of women with a variety of life skills.
  • What kind of work will I be doing? The variety of projects we work on fall in the categories of:
    Education – Teaching in the classroom
    HIV/AIDS – Teaching prevention classes
    Medical – Basic medical screening
    Life Skills – Variety of training classes of knitting, crocheting, quilt making and sewing
    Construction – Building structures to complete our school
    Micro Loans – Teaching basic small business skills
